LOCATION

The Center is located on the Bimbilla – Yendi road, near the E.P College of Education, directly opposite the Assembly Hall and almost adjacent GNAT Hostel.

MISSION

The Centre is established to provide all the secretarial needs of the community including training session and all other services in respect of ICT industry.

VISION

The bimbilla community information centre is established to serve as ICT hub of the entire nanumba north district and its environs and even beyond.It is also to be a one-stop centre for all secretarial services in the Community.

THE MAIN BUILDING OF BIMBILLA CIC















The management and staff of the CIC have instituted a training program for all basic schools candidates in Bimbilla township on basic computing and internet orientation in a way to enhance computer literacy since ICT is now going to be a core subject in all basic schools in the country and put the culture of ICT in the children. The program is schedule to cover selected workers of the district assembly and all ICT teachers in the district.

SUCCESS STORIES





About 150 people have so far benefited from the centre inrespect of training. Areas covered during the training include: Introduction to Computer, Typing, Microsoft Word, Excell and Internet Orientation among others.

Out of this number 75 are girls and the rest are boys.

Meanwhile, a lot more including school kids, JHS and primary pupils across the District are currently under training in the basics.

What is more, there is an on-going special training package for kids in the age brackets of 5 and 6.
